The Ohio Champion Basketball AAU Program was originally founded in 2018 to provide our players with the finest AAU basketball experience in Ohio and beyond. After focusing on strengthening our training program in the years following the pandemic, we re-launched our AAU program in 2024 in partnership with the Under Armour Rise Circuit for our top teams and with a clear vision for the future lead by Trey Scotti and Tyler Smith. Coach Trey Scotti lead our 17U boys team to a second place finish in our very first year playing in UA Rise, and we are positioned for more success moving forward with the addition of more teams and expanded age levels playing on both the Under Armour Rise and UA Future Circuits in both our boys’ and girls’ AAU programs.

In 2025, we formed our girls’ OCB AAU program in partnership with our Girls’ AAU Director, Jake Chialastri, and Assistant Girls’ AAU Director, Kelly Chialastri. Our ultimate goal is to provide stability in the regional AAU space both for our boys’ and girls’ programs while providing the most competitive opportunities possible for our players and in lockstep with our philosophy on player development.

Our overarching mission is to develop basketball players holistically by prioritizing player growth and skill development, inspired by the European model of youth athletics, woven into a strong foundation of classic American ideals: toughness and ingenuity. We believe that fostering fundamental skills, game intelligence, and personal development is key to long-term success, especially in the formative years before players reach a recruitable age. Our program emphasizes high-level competition in AAU games while providing a structured development plan that ensures each player reaches their maximum potential. We are committed to nurturing well-rounded athletes prepared for the next level of their basketball journey, both on and off the court.
